Cărbune activ este cărbunele obținut prin încălzirea la temperaturi mari, în mediu anaerob, a lemnului, ceea ce duce la dezvoltarea unei rețele de micropori. Diferența este că după această ardere, urmează un proces de activare. În cadrul acestui proces cărbunele este supus la un tratament cu substanțe care-i desfundă porii, mărindu-i astfel eficiența de 6-10 ori. Rezultă un produs cu o capacitate mult mai bună de a adsorbi diferite gaze, microorganisme, substanțe toxice din tubul digestiv.

Indicatii:
– balonare, sindromul colonului iritabil
