What it is

Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna and Crataegus oxyacantha, family Rosaceae) is a thorny shrub native to Europe whose leaves and flowers have a long tradition of use as a herbal tea. The leaf-and-flower material naturally contains flavonoids, proanthocyanidins, triterpenic acids and volatile oil. Fares tea C39 contains hawthorn leaves and flowers only, with no flavourings or other additions.
